Corry Evans happy with Northern Ireland

Corry Evans said that the Northern Ireland national team should not be disappointed with their performance in the Nations League. He said that although the team has lost their four games in their group they should be proud of their performance.

He said that they have played well during some of the games and that they have lost some games only by the odd goal. Corry Evans said that Northern Ireland played well against Austria and that they conceded a goal only in the last minute of the game.
He said that the players should be proud of what they have achieved and taken some positives from the game. He said that they have played against some excellent teams and that they have done really well in these games.

Corry Evans said that there is some potential in the team and that they now have to focus on the Euro 2020 qualifiers. He said that there is a good blend of youth and experienced players in the team and that this could help them during the qualifiers. He said that it is the responsibility of the older players to make sure that they provide a role model for the young players and guide them in the right direction.

At the same time, he believes that the arrival of the younger players will provide more competition for places and that this could help the team progress further.

“Corry Evans said that Northern Ireland has a better squad than the one that qualified for the Euro 2016“ and it is important that they remain “focused on their objective“.

He said that the road to Euro 2020 is still long and that it is important that they continue to develop as a team and make sure that they qualify for the tournament.
