The Hull City player Corry Evans has said that the midfielders at the club should be coming in with their share of goals in order to help the team get promoted to the Premier league next season.

Hull City are one of the teams challenging for the play-off position this season, while they can easily qualify for the Premier league automatically as well. However, they need to score a lot of goals from other areas of the pitch in order to do so according to the midfielder Corry Evans. The team is currently second in the Championship table after an impressive run of form in recent weeks.

However, the Championship is a league where the fluctuations are extremely high over the course of the season. In order to avoid the team getting dropped into the play-off positions once again, Evans has said that it is not enough only if the strikers score goals because the midfielders also need to score their share as well. Midfield players like Robert Koren and Sone Aluko have been extremely brilliant for Hull City in recent weeks. They have scored 14 goals between them this season, which is one of the reasons for the team not being over reliant on the strikers.

"We can't rely on Jay Simpson, Sone Aluko and Robbie Koren, everyone needs to chip in with a goal here and there. My goalscoring record is something I'd like to improve. If you're a goalscoring midfielder, that can add a couple of million on your head. There's not many about these days and when you do find one, they're worth their weight in gold," said the 22-year-old, who is yet to open the scoring for the club in the Championship this season. He has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Hull City.
